    Ive had this kit about a year and a half. It was the first Aoshima kit I bought breaking my loyalty to Tamiya 🙂

    It’s a pretty simple and straight forward kit. I like it because it was black and gold my favorite color scheme

    Anyway….I started it today, here is a photo of some subassemblies a lot of detail to add to the engine but it’s a good start

    Looks like a good start, Cricket @bikequeen, I’ve never built an Aoshima bike kit so I’ll be interested to hear what you think of it.

    @gblair @fiveten @johnb @chinesegeorge

    Thanks guys it’s a decent start. George, the Aoshima kit isn’t to bad, it’s not Tamiya of course but it’s a fairly decent kit. I only bought for the colors 😉

    Got some more done, it never made it above 23 yesterday, I managed to get the shed up to 65 so I could paint in the….lord knows what it will do to the electric bill 🙂

    I couldnt paint the larger fairings and it will be a few days before I can, it 9 degrees right now now :/

    Thee rear fender got messed up so I will have to strip it and start again but not today

    Here is yesterday’s progress

    It looks like you got a lot done, Cricket @bikequeen, shame about the rear fender but I’m sure you will fix it. I assume your temperatures are in Fahrenheit. We have a long and cold winter here in north east China, with temperatures regularly dropping to minus 30 degs C, that’s about minus 20 F , not good for painting.

    Hi Cricket (@bikequeen). Moving really fast on this one. Paint looks great. I think most of the US is in the midst of that polar front that moved in a few days ago. We are actually expecting snow in central Texas tonight.

    @chinesegeorge @gblair yes Fahrenheit i am “C” challenged 🙂 fender is no big deal, I was heavy handed with the paint and it ran…no biggies but after 12 hours working on it I decided I would wait, and yes George B. It’s moving quickly but like I mentioned im working 12 hours a day on out….I’m OCD 😉

    Those are quite low temperatures, Cricket @bikequeen
    Currently at 30F in the Netherlands.
    You are progressing really nice on that bike, all according to your usual quality.

    I have brother who is into motorcycles. He had a Ninja and the bike was a rocket on wheels. Cricket (@bikequeen), one thing about modeling bikes is no need for oil stains, dirt or grime. Everytime my brother took his bike out for a ride he would wipe it down. If you touched one of his hogs, he'd say words to the effect the (clean version) careful you will scratch the paint. Your build is proper, clean and sharp.
