In the end it is better to have it fitted stressfree, Spiros @fiveten.
You definitely don't want to hear that 'crack' noise when everything is finished.
Seems like you had a busy day.

Thanks to liquefied styrene the result is very homogeneous now, my friend @johnb!

It will be a beautiful classic plane. I was thinking about getting a classical airliner from that period for the group build, but I already have an Il-18 in my stash.

That’s amazingly fast, Spiros! Great work. I’m surprised to learn the kit has recessed panel lines. I have two Heller Connies in the stash and they both have raised panel lines.

Thanks my friends @pikofix and @j-healy!

    The Il-18 sounds super, Csaba!

John, I was too really (and I mean really) surprised to find that the kit has recessed lines. Looks like in 1984, where this kit originated, Heller took the brave decision to go recessed. Though I don't really mind for having raised lines, admittedly, this kit's recessed details are your ally, since fit is not great at places and you have to sand/fill quite extensively. Interestingly, cowlings sport raised panel lines!

Great choice Spiros! The DC-6 is such a classic example of a beautifully designed early 50’s airliner and I can see by the looks of your incredibly fast build here that yours will be a beautiful classic too! Waiting for your next update.

Only seven months Spiros, some of my builds sit for years between having some attention.

Good to see progress on this one, Spiros @fiveten
Fully recognize the attention required to those regions.

A strong spine may be required to fly around with all those PAX. . . Good to see your Douglas back in action Spiros.
