After the excellent idea of Spiros @fiveten, adding a clear part to the tail representing the tail light which seemed to be forgotten by Heller, I followed his idea and did some work on the tail as well.

There were also some modling defects on the tail section of my DC6 so I took the opportunity to get rid of those at the same time.

Next picture show a piece of a spare clear part attached and the mold defect filled with putty.

After several rounds of grinding the mold defects and the taillight do look as follows

Unfortunately due to all the handling/rotating the aircraft, the nose landinggear broke of for the second time 😢

I will leave it off now till all is finished.

The tail light looks super, my friend @johnb , as well as the smoothing out! Pity about the nose leg, I know how frustrating it feels...

@fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros. Frustration level did drop already, but when I heard the 'snap', I was not really ammused 😃. Luckily this can be fixed quiet easily.

Looking good John @johnb. It’s been really fun following you and Spiros@fiveten on this duo build. I can’t think of one model I’ve ever built that didn’t have a frustration moment. Always self-inflicted. Always a solution.

Tail looks good, John (@johnb), but probably got a little lost in your concern over the broken nose gear. I am taking mental notes for when I build mine. Maybe it might be smart to add a rod down the middle of the gear at the start.

@eb801, thanks, Eric. Agree, each build has its good but also bad moments, luckily in most cases there is a happy end.

@gblair, thank you, George. Although the nose gear was capable of carrying the weight, This time it was simply me not being gentle enough, I agree that it might be better to insert a rod. Will definitely have a look into that possibility.

I was thinking about the Heller EC-121 that is in my queue, John (@johnb). It has a very long and spindly nose gear.

After being satisfie dwith the white color, it was time to prepare the upper part of the fuselage for some red.

First couple of layers Vallejo 71.003 are applied. Coverage is already quite nice but needs a couple of more fine layers.

@fiveten, thank you, Spiros. Need to get it a bit darker to match with the tail decals.

Red and white - Greenlandic national colors. Really looking forward to the result after a layer or three more!

@airbum, thanks a lot, Erik. The red is still too bright compared to the red on the decals. Need to darken it a bit.

    Masks removed.

Unfortunately some "bleeding" of the red onto the white, should not be too hard to get that fixed.
