    Getting closer!

John, I have a confession - I have not been paying attention! Sorry to tell you this late, but the small windows mostly needs filling. Hope you can do this as part of the touch-up process? If not, no worries, your build, your rules 🙂

Check on oy-reg.dk and search for OY-DRC and OY-DRM to see the pictures. (links here: https://oy-reg.dk/register/2204.html for DRC, and https://oy-reg.dk/register/2214.html for DRM)

Super colour scheme, @johnb, shame about the nose undercarriage, probably best to fix it at the end of the build as you say.

@airbum, thanks, Erik. As a matter of fact, I noticed this while masking the aircraft. If I would have paid attention more early than I would certainly have. So all my misstake. Need to check after the silver painting is done if the windows can be corrected easily. Thanks for sharing links as well.

@chinesegeorge, thank you, George. While painting the red I also knocked off one of the main landing gears 🙁 This model is quite big to handle while painting so I should have left the gear for last. Repairs will be performed once all the rest is done.

Trying to give the upper and lower surfaces a bare metal look. Couple of layers are applied and once it has dried sufficiently I will polish the surface with some cloth.

BMF looks already super, my friend @johnb!

@fiveten, thanks, Spiros. Never had to use this amount of paint before on a single aircraft 🙂 . I used the Vallejo Metal Color series. It sprays on straight from the bottle. Thinning is not required.

Hi @johnb, like Spiros said above, the BMF looks super already, a little polishing will bring out the shine.

@j-healy, thank you, John. Hopefully the upper paint will be fine when removing the masks.

@chinesegeorge, thanks, George. I will give it a try with a soft cloth to polish it.

Removed the masks and started polishing to improve the shine effect.
Still some touch-ups to be done because of paint bleeding (is this the correct wording).

Happy New Year, John@johnb! It is indeed coming along very nicely. What is your technique for polishing and what polishes will you be using?

@eb801, thank you, Eric. Happy New Year to you as well. Currently I'm trying to get it shiny by gentle rubbing a soft cloth over the surface. Not sure if this is the best approach.
