    I’m sure the amended wheel mountings will be strong enough, @johnb, it is, after all, a display model, not a working radio controlled model although it’s big enough.

    @gblair, @eb801, @chinesegeorge, thanks a lot all. It will indeed be an exiting moment but I am pretty confident in the construction, although this lady did surprise me more often already.

    John, I'm with Eric on the drum-roll! Exciting moment it will be! After all, Greenlandair had the nickname "Immaqa airways" in greenland, meaning "maybe airways", referring to the many delays and cancellations of flights due to weather and tec-trouble in the harsh climate.

    @airbum, thanks a lot, Erik. That fully corresponds with the delays and technical issues I had during the build 🙂

    After some significant drum-roll, my neighbours even started complaining, I could finally confirm that the landing gear was clearly capable of carrying all the weight of this lady. I have to admit that she looks quite nice in this Greenlandair scheme. Next will be mounting some remaining landing gear doors and antennas and doing some touch-ups here and there before applying the final coat.

    Great that the landing gear holds the weight, my friend @johnb!
    Your DC-6 looks superb!

    I think some blaring trumpets are in order John @johnb. This is looking magnificent!

    So that was the sound I heard - wondered where that came from. Congrats John, she is looking fantastic already!

    Might I suggest to let it rest on a open-top box while you add the last few details? Just to be safe 🙂

    I heard Trumpets, a Harp and a chorus of Angels. Oh my.

    @fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros. Currently off her feet to give her some rest.

    @eb801, thank you, Eric.

    @airbum, thanks a lot, Erik. For sure I will not perform the last steps while she is on her feet. Thanks for pointing this out.

    @stephen-w-towle, thanks, Stephen. Correct, an entire orchestra was present. You can not imagine the joy when I took my hands off and the landing gear did hold.

    Propellors are added, just two antennas left. As you can see, some touch-up on the front windows is needed.
