    Did some research and found out that the IJN Grey was used until 1940 on metal aircraft and afterwards for fabric surfaces. From 1940 on Amber Grey was used. Ordered that paint fom AK Real Color, so have to wait some days to continue with the build.

    Once again some preshading done

    The AK RC 303 Amber Grey is apparently a bit too dark , and Nick Millman suggests lightening it up 10% with white. Nakajima Amber grey was darker than the one used by Mitsubishi, and all Rufe's were built by Nakajima, so perhaps RC303 can be used straight out of the bottle ?

    Those decals snuggled down very well, Reinhard.
    Some brittlenes will be taken care of touchups, might I assume?

    @Spiros
    yes, he did some touchups but doesn´t really look better now when looking closeup, but a slightly worn look isn´t bad

    Reinhard @grimreaper
    This one is looking magnificent ! I have not left a comment in a little while, and when I come back to check on things, the model is almost completed... This is not only a good quality build, it is also quite speedy. I especially like how the green mottling turned out. This is something that is hard to get just right, but your Dad is an artist and seasoned builder. It shows in all of his builds. This is what I call a "Goldie Locks" build... it is "Just right".

    Thanks for posting the updates, and please pass it along to your Dad that I commend him on his work.
    Together you two are an unstoppable team.
