    Ongoing touchup loops...

The process of evening the microglitches seems to be neverending...
Hopefully, weathering will be my ally as to cover some of them... 🙂

Looking forward to the wathering. It is something I have been a bit neglecting on my builds.

Spiros, that’s so nice looking. This is the type of stuff airbrushes are meant for, lol. Great job on the touch ups. Hopefully you find an end to them, haha.

Thanks my friends @airbum and @1corsair64!

Erik, I confess I am not a weathering guy, and I prefer my models with subtle weathering. Usually (but not always) an unweathered plane looks a bit unnatural, so I do only as much weathering as to make it look natural. That said, I adore all those well weathered models I see here and elsewhere: it takes skills to do a heavy weathering...skills I don't have...

Jordyn, paraphrasing Albert Einstein's words, once you expand towards airbrushing, it will be impossible to return to your original pre-airbrush dimension!

Still, hand brushing can be handy at times.

At least two (three...) touch up loops are in my pocket regarding my Toryu so that the neverending process ends 🙁 🙂

    Touching-up loops seem to finish...

    and some progress is done:

-Painted the props yellow warning stripes and "gun metal" tips
-"Weighted" the main tires, awaiting their final touchup
-Started painting the canopy, which has nice detailed frames
    Cheers, Great EoJ GB!

Well done with your canopy, Spiros. I always have issue with em. And your props and wheels are really good too.

    Thanks my friends!

Jordyn @1corsair64, if you hand paint the canopies, use the finest brush you have (best is 10/0), NOT thick paint, and be patient. I usually paint half of the canopy at a time, so I can hold it steady with my hand.

Erik @airbum, I will push this reluctant beauty towards the finish!

    Landing gear!

Based on the Zukei Mura 1/32 amazing kit, I added brake lines at my MLG legs, from stretched sprue:

I then added at each main leg the two side supporting rod sets and the main retraction tube set. Before the glue set (in order to have some twist freedom) I placed the assembly into the well and inserted its 7 (!) protrusions into the well corresponding holes, where I had put some glue beforehand. It took some effort, but, to my excitement, all clicked into place, perfectly aligned, leaving me praising Nichimo kit designers:

I then installed the main wheels and the tail wheel, aligned them and left them to dry.

    Cheers, great EoJ GB!

It's always a sign of good progress when your model airplane can stand on it's own feet... 🙂

Well done my friend. The added brake lines are like icing on the cake.
