Having never built a Frank, I decided to give Tamiya’s old chestnut a try.

As you might expect this kit hails from the ‘70’s, has a low parts count and has

descent engraved panel lines etc. Not a lot going on in the cockpit, so I decided to

replace the kit seat with an SBS resin seat and may add some imagineering to the cockpit

floor.

I researched for the proper cockpit, gear wheel etc colors and came up with a deep metallic green. To get there I started by laying down a coat of Tamiya X-13 Metallic Blue.

After that had dried I mixed up Tamiya Clear Green cut about 60/40 with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. I built that up over the metallic blue until I got the “color” I was looking for.
