John, I'm a bit in the dark when it comes to interior colors on these. I suppose both may have been present? Anyway, I do like the progress, and look forward to the last few posts as it moves down the line.

Anti glare panels and decals today. This particular plane featured a green panel on the fuselage and black section on the cowling. I can only imagine how these were repaired constantly. Lots of wear on every one I’ve seen from Barin Field. In addition to the carrier qualification done at Barin, each student was required to show proficiency at shooting towed targets with the SNJ’s .30 cowl gun.

Fellow imodeler, Andrew H. pointed me in the right direction as to the canopy frame and wheel well colors. Mine will be black and yellow respectively.

Love the different shades at front anti-glare, my friend @j-healy!
The SNJ is nicely coming along!

    Great progress, John @j-healy
Nice research as well to make it more realistic.

Wow - that is one very nice plane with those decals added!

Ditto from me, John (@j-healy). Nothing looks better than a Navy trainer in overall yellow paint. The multi-color anit-glare panel is cool.

Very nice build John! I have two of these being worked on- one will become a Canadian Harvard- I am going to have to vac form a rear canopy for it , as well as build up the coaming at the rear, and get an exhaust to model a Canadian Harvard. The other will be built as the second SNJ that the Blue Angels flew, with Blue "US Navy" titles. The first was an SNJ-3 (with hinomaru), with a Harvard style rear canopy part.

Engine installed and weathering started today. I’ll give it a Future coat and a wash next. Worn wing walks last.

    Weathering looks fine, John.
She clearly has made a lot of flying hours.

Just need to order a vac canopy and wrap it up. I thought I could use the kit canopy, but it’s really terrible. To be continued...

    She looks great, John.
A pitty that you have to wait for the canopy now.
But she deserves a perfect finish and therefore it is worth the wait.
