The chipping turned out great, David @dbutlr
Regarding the coat, ofcourse a pity that this hapened, I think the only solution is the one being mentioned by Spiros @fiveten
Since it will remove a larger area of the paint, it will also be 'easier' to repair by respraying.

    IT STANDS!
Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions- the B-25 stands on its on three wheels, with just enough weight added!

Good to see the suggestions for extra weight 1½ months back by Spiros and John paid off. Chipping looks like it is going to be a great addition to the overall look.

Coming down the home stretch now

-masking the stars has proven to be difficult, and I was fortunate to get them (mostly) aligned, for the remainder I ordered some decals to save my sanity!

-after consulting with Tom Cleaver @tcinla I went with plexiglass framing on the top turret instead of painting it the fuselage color, I did this by masking and then using a matt varnish on the exposed framing

-adding some small details, antennas, probe, landing lights, nose guns, etc

This one is progressing nicely, David @dbutlr
The start looks perfect, but I can imagine that you are not into doing this for the rest.
