This is a wonderful job, Patrick!
It has the quality of an excellently built static model; yet it flies!
The pilots are exceptional too, as well as the other staff.
    Well done!
    Happy flying!

Amazing work, like Spiros said, you combine RCM with static modelling in a hard to believe level, given the quality of the paintwork and the wear and tear of this helicopter

Thanks for the kind words, it's been a fun 8 month build. I'll be entering this in the US national rc scale helicopter contest next month, wish me luck!

It's been awhile since I updated this. Here's my latest Cobra story- emergency extraction of a stranded soldier using the ammo bay door. While lifting off, crew encounters heavy ground fire. A fire fight ensues.

FYI, I have yet to fly it in this configuration. I need to procure longer main blades for better lift.

This is a masterpiece getting better and better, Patrick!
I like all the soldier movements!

    Incredible, so much animation.
How much servo motors did you use to achieve this, @patleong
Also interested in what kind of controller you used to program the movements.

John, there are a total of 23 servos in the whole contraption. I use 2 Pololu micro controllers for all the non-flight related movements.

    Thanks Patrick.
Never heard about those controllers before, but checking their website, they do have very interesting robotic equipment. All extremely small.

Your skill and imagination continue to be apparent in this model. I would be afraid to fly it for fear of losing all that work.
