Along with the "Gunna Build" competition ( see https://imodeler.com/groups/work-in-progress-aircraft/forum/topic/three-me-262s/), my club has an annual "Build a B#%@#$" competition in which a draw is held and old, poorly fitting and otherwise difficult kits are assigned to each member to build following "Out of Box" rules. This year we are able to substitute decals and build a scheme other than that given in the kit.

My draw this year is the 1/72 scale Revell Junkers Ju 88G-6c.

The cockpit is minimal, the fit looks to be average, there are sink marks and raised rivets all over.

Let's see if I can turn this into a silk purse.

I am a big fan of old Monogram and Revell kits. I bet you can turn this kit into a winner, Michael (@michaelt). Of course, masking the canopy might be interesting.

I've also glued the fuselage halves together.
Fit is OK except for a concave centreline along the forward lower fuselage.
There are a few sink marks and a bunch of raises rivets all over the kit that I will be sanding smooth.

First Sunday in November, that's just 6 weeks.
With my modelling speed I would not be able to achieve that.

I also have the three Me 262s to finish by the same date for the "Gunna Build" contest.

I just finished last years "Gunna Build" on the weekend. ;~)
It took this long to complete the last 10%.
I'll post photos soon.

This kit seems to have some real challenges, Michael (@michaelt). A concave fuselage will be really hard to fix. Lots of putty perhaps?

I've also sanded the tail plane and wings smooth and am working on the engine nacelles (they'll need more putty).
