Toothpicks work well to clean up painted canopy frames provided:
-You use acrylic paint, not enamels or lacquers
-You clean up the frames before the paint completely cures
-You haven't used Future (or similar) on the canopy
Spiros (@fiveten), I'm with you. Getting a sharp blade near a canopy makes my hands shake.

Good thing you realised it before painting it.

Better to have it solved up forehand.
Correcting it after painting would be a nightmare.

George (@gblair) - actually I split the fuselage seam a bit vainly trying to "push", and broke off one of the "towel rail" antenna under the fuselage. But don't tell anyone...
