Wow, Mike (@sandbagger), the paint really brings all the various parts together to look like a plane. Well done.

    Hi all
The engine installation for the Macchi M.5 is ready to be fitted to the hull.
The propeller will be fitted later in this build,
The frame bracing wires are 0.08 mm diameter mono-filament with blackened 0.4 mm diameter Brass tube.
Turnbuckles are the 'Gaspatch' 1:48th scale metal versions.

Looks great, Mike @sandbagger. I am glad I am not the one dealing with all of the rigging.

    Hi George,
What rigged model are you building?
    Here's a Macch M.5 I build earlier,

This model came out terrific, Mike @sandbagger. I really admire modelers who can create models with rigging. I avoid biplanes and just about anything that requires rigging, although I have a couple of the old Hasegawa biplanes that I want to do someday. All I need to do is figure out how to rig the flying wires.

    Hi all
The model has moved on a bit since my last post.
The upper wing has been fitted and all wire rigging done.
I just have the outer wing support struts to make and fit.
These will be made from 0.9 mm formed Brass tube.
Also I have to fit and rig the two ailerons, under wing floats and propeller

I really like the faded fabric look you have achieved on the wings, Mike (@sandbagger).

    Hi all
The model is now mounted onto its display base.
Just the figure and propeller to complete this build
