This is my third kit build since getting back into the hobby after a 25 year hiatus. It’s the first for me using photo-etch. The cockpit details are somewhat inaccurate & lacking compared to photo references I’ve seen, but it’s not a bad kit & I’m learning as I go.

That’s what I call some serious masking in the cockpit! I usually do the panels with a paintbrush but then on the other hand I don’t achieve the same level of sharpness that you have done! Good job and I look forward to following your build!

Excellent work, sir….looks well on the way to a great build.

Thanks Magnus! I actually started out trying to paint the panels by hand, but I couldn’t keep my hand steady enough. The masking didn’t really take that long. I just sliced up some Tamiya tape into various widths and placed whatever fit. Kinda like a puzzle.

Ken, welcome back, looks like your skills are still there. That looks like an interesting kit.

Well it’s been awhile since I posted an update. Three years & 6 months ago. I’ve built a few models in between, but I’ve also got to the decaling stage with the Super Tucano. Here’s the progress since the last post.
