Well worth following this one I think! Those old Monogram kits are, if not state of the art, at least fun and well-detailed!
Regards
Magnus
Nice job Tolga! Keep it up. I built this kit two years ago now, but mine was a fast build. It't great to see someone doing a serious job on this old kit. Best of luck.
Ulf
Looks a lot better than MY old build...I've always liked Monogram kits.
Thats a stunning project, Tolga. The Monogram B-26 beat me, good luck with yours. Nice Marauder too, Craig
Great start on your Marauder Tolga, one of those Monogram kits I never built as a kid, yet I do have one in the stash. But I will follow this WIP with interest as like you I have started a B-26 project as well, but in 72nd scale with the even older Airfix kit, but you know for the scale it actually has some detail, but to enhance it I also have the Eduards PE set to give it a little help. May I ask what color did you use for the interior of the cowlings, Neutral Grey? Thanks for sharing, I can see the passion you have in your progress.
Chuck
Yes Chuck, color used for the interior of the cowlings is neutral grey..
Some modifications continued in the cockpit. The pilot and co pilot seats are unpretentious and primitifs. Details are too weak. So I tried to modify the seats by using plastic sheet and pipe. Hope that it works. Seat belts are from Eduard.

Tolga I don't have time to follow all the work in progress threads but am sure glad I have looked through this. It is a great primer, not just for the B-26, but models in general should be done. You truly have tremendous skill, I'd say.
The Smithsonian is starting to restore "Flak Bait" at Uzvar-Hazy. Thee's an article on their website, with pictures. The museum I volunteer for is sponsoring a bus trip down to see it, which should be on their website. Middle River to the Smithsonian at Dulles, and back, if anyone in my area is interested. This May "Fifi", the only flying B-29 will be here, also. Mark your calenders.
I agree with Ralph, great work!
Cockpit installed into the fuselage. I have also added some weight from lead plate to be able to stand on the front wheel.

In the end, fuselage halves went together and they were glued.
The Airfix B-26 kit, despite its age is still a highly regarded kit; it was ahead of its time.
Reminds me that i too have a Monogram B-26 on the SHELF of DOOM.
It needs some puttying and sanding process on the joining area of the fuselage halves. I'm afraid that this process will not last too short
