I built that kit a thousand years ago and enjoyed it. I see you didn't add the canards during construction, definitely a good move. I don't know if they've fixed the see thru problem between the intakes and main gear wells, but my solution was to stuff a wad of black knee high stocking into the fuselage through the intakes. Once it expanded no more see through.

It's such a beautiful aircraft it's a shame it's stuck in the grey on grey on grey period.

I had trouble with silvering decals especially the 10,000 maintenance stencils. Final solved that by putting the decal into a dab of wet Future. As it dried the Future pulls the decal tight against the surface with no silvering.

    Hope this helps

I had a slight delay on the decals . They where just junk and silvered big time. So decals had to be removed and sanded off. Model has been repainted and gloss coated. Waiting for it to dry and decal her. Landing gear got completed this weekend.

I've always thought the Rafale was a fine looking machine ever since I won the old Heller kit at a model show raffle. In regards to Ricks not liking the grey, this kit would be an alternative. It's the prototype in the standard Dassault house trim of red, white and blue.
I like the wash on the landing gear, I'll have to try it on my Javelin.
