I had some free time waiting for the glue on the C-47 to set, so I got the Javelin in the paint shop. I had sprayed the under surfaces Testors metallic silver and the wings were sprayed off the plane and in two halves to get a nice demarcation line without doing all the fun masking on the leading edge! I also used the pieces supplied in the kit for building a gear up model as masks for the wheel wells. The horizontal tail was also sprayed as upper and lower halves. The upper wings were taped to the spars to get the upper camouflage lined up. Once every thing is glued, the wing seam pretty much blends in with the panel lines, so no worries about cleanup there. This is an amazing kit and a lot of fun to build! I can't wait to see the finished bird!
