1/72 Anagrand resin XB-51

    Here's a model I started 2 or 3 years ago, but didn't get very far. It's 1/72 Anagrand Resin XB-51. Not a very good kit as lots of parts were warped and misshaped. It was expensive, too. This was really my first attempt at a natural metal finish and I can say that I have improved since I painted this one. I'll probably strip it and start all over. It's an interesting subject, though.

    George, it looks really good. Agree it's an interesting subject, and a favorite of mine. Lots of unique prototypes in the 50s. Shame they didn't save one of them.

    Bernard, you're right, there were so many interesting ideas and prototypes in the '50s. I love both the U.S. and Soviet designs of that era.

    I wouldn't strip the finish off...it has "character" just the way it is IMO. Kinda puts me in mind of the B-45 Tornado sorta.
