@fiveten @johnb In today's episode of the soap opera titled: "How to avoid bad karma when applying decals", it turned out that the mark on the vertical stabilizer was overlapped crookedly and stuck to the surface of the model so quickly that there was nothing to be improved (even by spilling Micro Sol on the table and floor in nerves) . Removing the decal was also practically impossible and led to scratching the surface of the painting, which led me to an attack of fury). After drinking the Gin with Tonic (without the gin) 😉 I took out a spare set of decals and just put on the place for an old new one ... and all the paint chips were tampered with after carefully masking the applied decals (I need to use two colors Flat Aluminium and Super Silver, because vertical arleone was painted in aluminium dope). And I think, surprisingly ... It turned out. The sunrise photo shows the effect of yesterday's night work and today's morning work. I might add that the Modelmaker decals stuck to me really well, except for the latter. And the brand is generally recommendable.
Special thanks to @gblair for suggesting a solution to the decals problem. The element in the wing that covers the aileron deflection mechanism is probably more protruding than in the KP model, because the decals really had a nice mountain to overcome to stick well. The minimal patch from the spare Roundel Blue decal seems to have done the job comprehensively. Attention here, for everyone who will want to make the Mustang MK.IVa. Probably this element is so protruding that no matter what decal company we use. You have to be prepared to solve the problem with a patch or a little paint. PS I bought a paint from Hataka in Roundel Blue BS 110 color. It will be useful for the future!
PS2. I see that I forgot about polish markings under exhauts! I will apllay them soon 🙂
