A liitle more Progress on the 1/48 Academy MiG-29UB. Panels have been painted with various shades of Alclad and AK metals. I experimented a little with the underside and wanted to replicate the chemically treated aluminum on the underside of the fuselage. I did this by mixing AK Xtreme Metal White Aluminum with Alclad transparent yellow and a drop of armored glass (greenish). I sprayed that mixture over previously painted white aluminum. I then post-shaded with Alclad transparent yellow and gave it a final mist coat of Mr Paint Lemon Gray. Overall, I'm pleased with the results. On a side note, the Tamiya tape I used left a lot of sticky residue that I cleaned off with lighter fluid.

More painting done on the 1/48 Academy MiG-29UB. I sprayed that beautiful bare metal finish with Ammo of Mig Heavy Chipping Effects (twice to get good coverage) and waited for that to dry before spraying a random density coat of custom mixed Vallejo Acrylics over that. I had put down a few areas of Mr Paint Lemon Gray first last night. I managed to match that color pretty well and the acrylic areas will be chipped off. I found that letting the paint cure overnight provides the best chipping as small areas come off a little at a time. More to come tomorrow.
