This is the first time I've work with Green Stuff. It didn't set up completely overnight. I know I mixed it correctly, so I am going to reserve judgement on it until I can test it again. I know milliput work in this regard. George (@gblair), my past experience with Milliput has it working similar to plastic when scribing (if cured properly). CA filler also works good in this regard. I've made some use of Sprue Goo in this build and I am not happy with the way it reacts when scribing, riveting, etc. Too soft. Next time, I am going to try CA and Talc mixture.

I know it is frustrating when two-part putty doesn't set up right, Carl (@clipper). I tend to stay away from these types of filler for that exact reason. I seems I always get the ratio off. And regular putty wants to chip when you try to scribe new lines in it. Good luck.

George (@gblair), It did set up eventually. It was somewhat cold here and it took a bit longer.

In other news, I am going to attempt to cast new cowlings and propellers today. This is a first for me and I am not sure if both will work out. I'm fairly certain the cowling will be okay, but the propeller mold is iffy at best and I may have to do this one over. I am also working on the interior of the fuselage. Not much to show yet, I am basically trying to figure out general floor and bulkhead parts I need to add.

Looking forward to seeing your cast cowlings, Carl (@clipper). I did a bunch of work on the interior, including the forward nose section and the compartment behind the pilots, but it is all invisible now (x3). I wish the MPM kit had the nose section cast with the rest of the fuselage. I know they did it to allow other versions to be built, but it took a lot of filling and sanding to get two sections mated.

Would be great to create your own cowlings, Carl @clipper
    Looking forward to that.
The interior start to get some nice shape as well.

Thanks George (@gblair) and John (@johnb). I didn't get to the cowlings today. I was with Alice down the rabbit hole of interior detailing. It looks like a lot of unnecessary detail, but because the doors in the cockpit are open, much of the interior will be visible. Besides, I'll know its there. It has been fun so far, but trying to get things to stay in place while you fit them, can be difficult at times.Plus, trying to know what to put in now and what to wait until later. To keep myself sane, I am only working on it an hour or two at a time before I find other things to do.

Also adding structural details. A lot still to do. I am considering opening the cabin door, but I don't know yet. That might be a can of worms that I need to stay away from.

Nice work on the interior, Carl (@clipper). The MPM kits come with radios, a table, chair, etc in the compartment behind the pilots. I am pretty sure it will still be impossible to see. I don't think the instrument panel will be visible either. I will know all that stuff is there, but I don't think anyone will be able to see it.

Excellent work on the interior, my friend @clipper! The more the potential viewer comes close, the more he will see. Really amazing!

A very nice interior, Carl @clipper
I always like spending time on the interior, even though it will be less visible afterwards.
It would look great if you could leave the cabin door open.

Thanks George (@gblair), John (@johnb), and Spiros (@fiveten). I like doing these sort of upgrades to older kits, but it also gives me an appreciation for more modern kits that I can "simply build". My FJ-4B Fury build is not as involved as this one, but it still has a lot of deviations from the basic build. And my F-4 Lightning build is the same way. So I think I need to throw in another simpler build that I can occasionally switch over to to avoid burning out.

As for this interior work, with the windows out, quite a bit of the interior can be seen even after the fuselage is closed, but my concern is that I won't be able to get the clear parts "clear" enough. That's part of what is making me consider opening the cabin door. On the other hand, a part of me wants to move on to regular construction, so I don't know yet if I will do that.

Most of the basics are now in place on the Hudson interior. Now to start adding more detail. None of this is installed yet.

I'm starting to want to switch over to the Fury build for awhile, but I will keep at this for a little while longer.

Interior is really looking nice, Carl (@clipper). I also contemplated the opening the door on at least one of them, but I abandoned the idea when I became bogged down in just getting the basic of the trio done. The door has a thick profile which I think houses the life raft. This part came with the kits, but is unused in mine. Let me know if you decided to open the door and I can send you the part.

The interior is a big improvement over the original one, Carl @clipper

I'm starting to get into the smaller details. I must be crazy. I've struggled with these small details in 1/48 scale in the past and these are 1/72. I am sure that some of this is over or under scale and certainly it is more "busy" than "accurate", but it will be neat to get all this painted eventually and see how it turns out.

I did notice a few mistakes which I am in process of correcting. One is the instrument panel which needed an opening for rudder pedals and there is actually a second bulkhead forward of this which I will need to make. The other big mistake was the door aft of the navigator / radio station which should open forward, not back into the aft cabin. I'll fix that once I have a better feel for the other items that are being added into that area.

This pictures shows a few gaps, which the enlargement makes look worse. This is partly because most of this stuff is only setting in place (not glued) but also because it is so confounded small and hard to make correctly! Hopefully a bit of PVA glue in strategic spots will take care of the worst offenders.
