2014 kit with no extras at all (seems to be a thing with my builds at the moment) - Engineering and fit on a par with their superb B-25D as is the internal detail with very little left to the imagination and almost all of it visible through the crystal clear transparencies.

I understand that this kit is being re-issued in September, if you have some space on your shelf, then I highly recommend investing your Pounds/Euros/Dollars in this one.

Have a great weekend all, all the best from a stormy & Autumnal New Zealand.

It's a great kit - the detail of 1/48 in a 1/72 kit. Actually much more accurate than the ICM kit - no need of any resin correction for the tail.

This looks great. That cockpit was really small!

What a great looking plane, Ian (@ij001). The newer Airfix kits are really awesome, and your painting has brought out all of the great detail. Enjoy your Autumnal weather, Ian, it is really hot here in Texas...temps over 100 every day.

Really appreciate the comments and feedback folks. Thank you.

So after dinner last night I braved the storms (seriously), went out to the garage and attached all the 'glazing'. We're ready to start throwing paint around now...

Looking forward to the paint, Ian (@ij001). I have always thought the Do-17 was a really elegant looking plane. I thought I had bought one before I moved, so I went to our storage room and managed to find mine. It will go into the building queue in back of the other 20 or 30 kits that are already in line. Looking forward to your paint and decals. Did you use an Eduard set to mask the canopy, or did you cut the masks yourself?

George, I used the kit-specific Eduard set... not skilled or brave enough to make my own !

Not much to report today (Sunday) working on a nostalgia build alongside this one, and that's the one that got most of my attention today. Overall undercoat coat of (my own recipe) RLM 02 acrylic, which will make an excellent canvas for the top colours.

More next week. Thank you all for the continuing interest, very much appreciated.
