Great choice and ditto scheme, Ian @ij001
    Very nice start.

Great start, Ian (@ij001). The big intake on the front of the A-7 can be a real trial, but it looks like you got it sorted. It looks like this is a 1/48 kit? Which kit is it?

Re-issue of the 1987 Hasegawa kit, this is from 2012 and is the same plastic but with Bi-Centennial decals.

Fourth time I've built this one. An absolute favourite of mine, I think the only kit I've built more times than this is the Tamiya P-47.

    Cockpit:
Verlinden resin seat, Eduard etch IP and some good ol' fashioned dry-brushing for the rear bulkhead & side panels.

The "office" looks really nice after your job and the extras, my friend @ij001!

    Update:

Three primers - white, grey and dark grey. Next will be the squadron colour (blue) then the fuselage walkways, very dark grey like the stabilisers.

This is the point where I always worry. Have I done too much pre-shading ? - the photo's of the actual aircraft I'm building would suggest not, but I'm still a little nervous.

Your preshading looks correct, my friend ij001! It will result in a realistic looking model for sure.

From the pictures, I would say the preshading is perfect, Ian @ij001
Looking forward to see the painting being done.
