Allan @kalamazoo), yes there is a 180/185 kit available form Khee-Kha in Alaska; http://www.opland-freeman.com/khee-kha/kit005.htm It is a mixed media kit, vac-form wings and fuselage, resin bits and I even think a metal undercarriage!

Louis (@lgardner), Like so many of us the 172 brings out memories, for many a first flight experience. I had my first flight in one, and my first lesson as well many years later (divided my training between 172 in Greenland and AA1 in Denmark - you know, the Grumman two-seater, just like a Tomcat - only the F-14 has two engines 🙂

I think in a few weeks I may have to throw a question in Headlines, just need to find a reason and some dates - any ideas?

Louis's @lgardner statement above : " Float the idea out there ..." immediately hit a sensitive chord @airbum: Cessna hydroplanes! Will definitely be a minithread in the Cessna GB. This is getting more and more exciting, my friends!

As I finish my Romanian 109, I am thinking about a 180 tail-dragger next. So many models...so little time.
