So, Spiros (@fiveten), I am in good company.

Thanks, Michael (@michaelt). It is kind of a hodge-podge. I have read that the cockpits were supposed to be painted with the A14 Interior Gray, but war shortages meant that they could be painted in a lot of different colors. When you look at photos of restored or museum planes, you see a lot of gray-green color. One of the museum planes had a dark green floor, which I used on mine. I am sure that whatever colors you choose it will be well done. :o)

Center section is glued on, but not without some drama. Several of our "pathfinders" have noted that the center section requires a firm push to seat it in the fuselage. They noted you will get a "click" when it is in place. I can confirm all of those notes. This is where you find out if you have built the cockpit correctly. It took a lot of force to get the cockpit halfway into the fuselage. After that, I had to use a small screwdriver to reach inside and push the fuselage side walls away from the cockpit section so that it would move all the way in. I was sure I had broken something, but it looks like everything is still where it should be. I used tape to be sure everything stayed where it was meant to be. The clamps held the wings firmly against the wing spars while the glue dried. Hopefully everything will dry where it is supposed to be. I plan to let the glue firm up for at least 12 hours, and then it will be time for the bottom wing sections. Really looking forward to seeing if the complex nose assembly fits as it is supposed to. :o)

    Good progress, George @gblair.
This part of the build is indeed not the nicest one, applying the required force gives you the impression that it will damage everything you did build so far.
You are really catching up on my progress.
I painted the wheels without masks, the wheel covers were painted prior to mounting them.

Thanks, Spiros (@fiveten) and John (@johnb). I didn't realize the hubs were separate from the tires, which makes painting a lot easier. Yeah.

Assembled the wheel tubs, not sure if that is the correct wording, and started by mounting them first at the frontend of the wings. This to make sure there is no gap. First let it dry thoroughly before glueing the part at the bottomside of the wing.

Looking super as it gradually comes together,my friend @johnb! Attaching the parts progressively is a great idea to minimize gaps.

I think that is a good plan, John (@johnb). This kit benefits from some progressive, well-planned gluing.

@inflames, thanks a lot, Sebastijan. Looking forward to your first steps in this group build.

@gblair, thank you, George. This kit is indeed not straight forward. It needs a bit of help here and there.

Remaining part of the wheel covers are now glued to the center wing section.
    Fitting is quite ok.
