@michaelt Michael, Uluru is on my traveling bucket list and probably the no.1 thing I wanna visit if I ever manage to visit the land Down Under. I see your build is basically the same as mine and Tamiya mostly just downscaled the plastic. I tried to match the interior to Quinta's decals so it might not be totally period correct but with wartime situation, we'll never know. Looking forward to seeing yours painted and to see how Vallejo's set looks like. It appears that especially with the Brown colour, in the past, the paint producers made it much darker and saturated, but supposedly it was actually more greyish brown, which reflects in these latest new paints.

Sebastijan @inflames and Michael @michaelt, nice progress! Looks like the lacquer paints are performing well Sebastijan. Sadly I have to many things in progress to be able to join, even with a Zvezda and Tamiya kit in the stash. Well, I shall mark this topic as a reference for when I get started one day.

Last update before some vacation in Greece.

Mr.Paint having a smooth satin coverage is a big plus as you don't need to gloss before decals. Luckily there isn't much of them either on these ww2 aircraft so it was a relatively quick job applying them and sealing them with Semi-matt in preparation for further weathering.
