This eggplane of the Dassault Mirage 2000 was a gift from my daughter. This gift was a true win-win situation, she likes the funny shapes of those aircraft and I like the modelling. Ofcourse I was eager to get started with this kit right away. Opening the box does reveal one larger grey sprue with approximately 25 parts. One transparant sprue with one part, the canopy. The instruction sheet, literaly one sheet, has one side printed with the required paints and the other side with the instructions. You have the choice of three options, a French, Taiwan and Indian aircraft. One sheet of decals includes all three options. I will go for the French one. This will be my first kit from AFV club, a brand which is entirely new to me.

The boxart looks very attractive and funny.

Those are two of the possible options, the Indian variant is printed on the instruction sheet.

The instructions consist of 7 steps, all clear described.

Two sprues and one decal sheet should result in a funny eggplane of the Mirage 2000.

This should be a fun kit, John (@johnb). I have an entire shelf of "egg planes". I like to add my own paint schemes and usually use either 1/72 or 1/48 decals from the spares box. It will be hard to judge from an egg plane, but AFV kits are usually really nice.

@gblair, thanks, George. Made a little start with dry fitting and it seems indeed like a decent kit. Will look weird on the shelf between the mainly 1/48 WWII planes.

@johnb - What a nice gift! I have armor, artillery, and accessory kits from AFV Club, they are really nice, often with many tiny parts.

I like how this Eggplane has a pilot figure. I'm sure you'll have fun finishing the Mirage.

This kit looks really nice, John (@johnb). Most of the egg plane kits don't come with pilots. If you are ever interested in doing some conversions, there is an online English company that makes conversions and add-ons for egg planes. I have used several of their sets on my egg planes and they work really well.

@fiveten, thank you, Spiros. Looks like this is going to be a fun build.
@gblair, thanks a lot, George. They seem to have a very detailed seat for this kit, but since I will include the pilot, I will leave it as is.

Fuselage halves together, fits quite nicely.

The pilot entered his office. First time after my return to the hobby that I included a pilot. Dry fitted because I still need to entirely paint the interior.

@johnb - Very cool! The pilot's helmet has a lot of detail for an Eggplane. That's fun, I love doing figures and pilots with my projects.
