I got a start at this one the other day. Yet another model that I’ve always wanted but never thought I’d see. The plane was acquired by the Dutch government for use in the East Indies. The little Curtiss was used as a trainer, reconnaissance a/c, and was even projected to be used as a poison gas delivery system.
It’s assembled very nicely so far. I wasn’t sure about the engine mount struts, but they work as advertised.

    Great chosen kit, John @j-healy
Work on the engine is amazing, very nicely detailed.
Still a kit which is on my wishlist as well.

This one is coming together fast. The only issue so far was having to trim and sand the bottom of the engine a bit to get the lower cowl to fit.

I got the landing gear on today. It’s a little fiddly but actually aligned much better than many mainstream kits do. Not a whole lot left to do. I did omit two tiny PE ribs in the roof of each gear bay. No good would have come from installing them. I should at least get the underside color on it tonight or tomorrow. Modeling time will be limited for the next 10 days or so. I’m really looking forward to adding this one to my shelf.

It's a nice kit - I did the SNC-1 version. As you have discovered, it goes together easily. Looks like you're headed straight at a great result.

I finally got some modeling time in. The windscreen to fuselage join needed a little attention and I sprayed the undersides with Tamiya aluminum.
