    Hi Tom (@tcinla): I have been rearranging my hobby room and came across an article that I wrote in 1990 for the old Scale Modeler Magazine. I had converted a 1/48 Monogram P-51 into a two-seat hack. I didn't have much info on the conversion of the actual plane, so a lot of the rear seat area was an educated guess. I'm not even sure if the markings are correct. Anyway, I thought you might get a laugh out of this old conversion.

    @gblair - There were 2-seaters done that way, with Malcolm hood for the rear set, but the three 4th FG hacks were done with coffin-lid canopies.

    Here it is, finished. So far s I can tell from the limited photographic history, this is wht it looked like when first completed.
