Current build, the original issue of the (superb) Eduard P-39Q. Nothing added, everything you see was in the box. Feel free to ask any questions or make any comments.

    Best from NZ.

Nice work. did you thin the wing trailing edge from inside before gluing? That's the one and only "ding" on this kit, thick wing edge.

Yes I did, Tom. Still not enough TBH but a shed-load better than 'OOB'.

Great entry and ditto start, Ian @ij001
Recently did built this one myself and by the mentioned wing thickness by tom @tcinla, this is indeed an amazing kit to work on.
    Your progress looks very promissing.

    Some self explanatory progress shots.

PLW done with W & N oils (dark green & Paynes Grey for the topside, a dark bluish grey mix for the underside). Decals all on, a few from a 1993 Aeromaster sheet the rest from the kit.

t's already moved-on from here as yesterday I managed to get the (substantial) exhaust plume sprayed and today added some oil effects for streaks and leaks etc.

Thanks for taking the time to look and / or comment folks.

Yeah, it took me doing two of them to finally get it figured right on the third.

...on finals now folks. Last few pics before final assembly & reveal. Have a great weekend everyone.

    Edit
Just realised how purple the drop-tank appears ! - it really isn't 'in the flesh'.

    Looking superb, Ian @ij001
You definitely got more out of this kit than I was able to.
Detailing on the landing gear and weathering looks very nice.
