Hi Martin @naviatik, I have to agree with the others, the paintwork is fantastic, good luck with those transfers.

    Hi Tom,
thanks for warning. I will scan decals to be on safe side. If I destroy them, I will be still able to print new ones or make masks.
I would prefer decals as I do not want to mix decals with painted insignia. Decals are printed by Cartograph, I hope they will be fine.

Your painting on this plane is amazing, Martin (@naviatik). Red and natural metal are both difficult, but you have gotten them both right. The various red tones and the different metallic tones look very realistic. Well done.

I would say "Everything looks fine so far".
I will do hard tomorrow as I stay alone at home. So, more tomorrrow in the evening or on Sunday.

The natural metal finish, along with the red spine, make this model look really great, Martin (@naviatik).

    All decals placed, ufff!

I also started fixing Firestreak missiles, which were completely wrong (they messed up Top Red and Firestreak).

Decal borders are almost invisible, that is good part of the story.

They are practically imune to all softeners I used. They like to not move on the surface unless there is a lot of water and they tend to stick to everything what touches them.

So, I worked extremely carefuly and extremely slow...

I am really happy to finish this stage.

From now, it will be easy run. 🙂

You tackled those decals very nicely, Martin @naviatik

During last session I have placed all decals, then washed all lines and rivets with neutral grey (AK).

For weathering I used my favorite Tamiya weathering set. And finaly I used mix of gloss and semigloss varnish to fix it all.

And that's it, that was all I did.

I do not agree with opinion that NMF should not be varnished - I can guarantee that the kit still keeps nice NMF look.

I am sorry for the pictures, I am just getting some advices how to take photo of NMF - lets see if it helps for next set.

I am thinking that next set of pictures will show complete model with only missing missiles.
