It is been a while since I have posted my last build. I was relaxing, making some other stuff, printing some figures etc.
When I finally started this kit, I was suddenly without any motivation to finish it.
I think I know what happened, but it was so strange. I have got 3 these kits and I was really looking forward to finally get any Tomcat in my display. Iconic aircraft. One of the most beautiful aircrafts I know.
But, I am finally moving forward.

This build will be out-of-box with only what I am able to create at home.
Next one will come open as much as possible and next one will be with only some valuable add-ons. I want to see the difference - however, I am not willing to lower my quality sights.
I want three solid builds which I can be proud of.

So, to the build itself now: First, I invested some money and get super detailed book from DACO publications. Then I started with cockpit assembly and painting. I added alu foil to imitate fabric cover on middle section and front instrument panel cover plus I made parking break and landing gear handles from copper wire.
The rest of cockpit is quite nice and accurate.
Seats are improved with wires and belts, as well as with legs belts.
MFD screens are covered with transparent UV resin - it was my first attempt with it and it looks absolutely stunning.

I was using Vallejo colors for brush for almost all cockpit except of basic grey color and few decals, which I placed on front instrument panel.

After short period with miniature painting I am back at this kit.
I have to finish nose gear bay to be able to assemble nose part. Then I am moving to engines and assembly or main fuselage part.

I added few cables, but I guess it is possible to build it straight from the box. It is very nicely detailed part of the kit.
