For a few months now, I've been back to working on my third Corsair from the "Magic Factory" brand. This one is an F4U-1A, the Corsair VMA 321 White 042-CVU 98 USS Kwajalein 01. A few months ago, I started building the cockpit, then moved on to other projects, but about a month ago, I picked it up again. I made some creative choices, including adding some panels with a "natural metal" finish and a few other small details. I have to say that I really like the kit, although there are some minor inaccuracies... for example, for this particular model, the code that goes under the cockpit, "042," has decals that are too large—but I decided to ignore this issue.
I used Tamiya acrylics for the camouflage, AK and MIG products for the metallic parts, and AK pastels to recreate the oil deposited beneath the tank intake. I'm still working on it, and I hope to finish soon so I can get back to my Macchi, which has had a lot of alignment issues with the floats.
My work comes after yours on the same subject... especially the superb work by @scalerambush , who showcased his beautiful Corsairs. Hope you like it, and I'm looking forward to your feedback!
