Okay. I'm keen not to ever have to paint flourescent red again. It smells different (a weird smell) than other MM enamels and it took almost an entire bottle (bottle and 3/4 if you count the added thinner) to paint these four tiny drones!

My eyes are going crazy but I guess I painted these at the right time of year because it looks like they're ready to head off into the Wisconsin woods to hunt for trophy bucks!

The FS number of the paint starts with a 2 so I'm guessing it's a semi-gloss. I'll have to wait a but to pull the masking off.

(Oh, and hanging them from my chandelier to dry? One of the few perks of being single.)

If it is a weird smell, then it is the right stuff! Leave them in the sun for ½minute and they fade, then you know it is most certainly the right stuff! - Anyway, they look great in that color!

Great solution to have them painted, Josh.
Can imagen that your eyes go crazy with this color.
    Nice result.

And I'm calling this mission accomplished. There are a few decals to apply but I'm going to wait until I do the entire model. The sheet is older and I will be using some bonding spray to both protect the decals and give them a bit of gloss.

At some point I may add a short piece of tubing to depict the end of the jet pipe.

This is how it should look. I've noticed the Firebee can come in many colors but for my purpose it looks like flourescent red (looks orange to me) was the color of choice. It will go well with the red and yellow that will be on the Herc!

I go with our friend @airbum: if the smell is weird, you're on the right track!
    Great result, Josh @jpatt1000!
Those Firebees look amazing, even more so as they will be hanged under the Herc.
...I am so regretful I passed over that kit at my then local, now closed, hobby shop...

I did too back in the 90's. The old HobbyTown tag on my kit priced it at $69. I paid a bit more for it five years ago.
