Thanks for compliment. Called it quits on the detailing before I lost my motivation or else I would be doing 1/32 detail in 1/48.

Yes Louis is a big help.

Here is the website I mentioned. It is old and has a lot of broken links now. It's a really good source for the Bureau Numbers though.

Thanks for the kind words, and welcome to Imodeler.

Interior is coming along well, David (@kahu). I like detailing the interior, but you are right that at some point you have to call it quits. I have reached an age where I don't add as many details as I used to.

Yeah Lynn's site has been one of my Go-To sites.

Yeah lets not dwell on the fine details, as long as it all looks right. Because other wise that way lays madness.

That photo of VT-6 approaching Diamond Head is one of my favorite photos of the TBD.

It is always cool to look at manufacturer's photos that were taken when the plane was new, David (@kahu). I am working on a Kingfisher that has a similar lift cable stored behind the pilot.

    Beautiful reference images David @kahu
Even for black/white images they are very clear.

@gblair I was going to rob the lift cable from an AM SBD, but the TBD lift cables look to be permanently attached the pilot's overturn structure. And since the cables lay behind the pilot's seat, not going to add them since they will be really invisible.

@johnb They are truly crisp. If I ever get the 1/32 TBD-1, I am set to go bonkers detail wise.

A couple more pictures of the radio-gunner's compartment. It looks like the dropped a work light in there which makes these some striking photos.
