    Here is the main cockpit. Custom mixed the green. Eduard lap belts. Did a black wash and added some silver chipping. Awaiting brass paint for fire extinguishers.

    Since photo was taken realized the GWH control stick was missing the trigger on the grip so installed the Monogram one. Was not the last Monogram part; copilot control column with foot rests, starter crank, and the .30cal flexible was added. The kit supplied single .30 lacked the trigger handles. Go figure.

    Hopefully the Eduard canopy mask and brass arrive today in the mail.

    @fiveten

    Thanks. Brass paint and Eduard masks finally arrived so should be getting back into production. Fire extinguishers are now painted. I really need to decide which Intermediate Blue I will use; the Ammo MiG, Model Master enamel, or the Vallejo one.

    @kaku - Intermediate Blue IS NOT Blue-grey. The color you want is either Mr Hobby H-42 (aqueous) "Blue Gray" or Mr Color C-367 "Blue-Gray". Blue Gray is VERY DIFFERENT from Intermediate Blue.

    Tom @tcinla I think I know where I went loopy.

    Growing up used Model Master paints and reviewing instructions from the Accurate Miniatures SBD-3, there was no USN Blue Gray from Model Master. So used Intermediate Blue as a substitute and there it firmly resided until now. But this causes another question that I thought I knew the answer to, when did ANA 608 Intermediate Blue start to be used? Was this only used on the tri-color scheme? Thanks.

    Good news is, I do have one bottle of Mission Models MMP-061 Blue Grey FS35189.

    And a few more photos.

    @kaku - yes, Intermediate Blue appears to have become common when the tricolor scheme came on the scene.

    About to button up the fuselage. First time tried cutting instrument decals individually and then putting a drop of clear.

    Very good on the interior, David @kahu
    The decals do look really good with a drop of clear.

    Here is the fuselage just snapped together with no glue yet. A nuisance is the lack of a good way to align the lower instrument panel to the fuselage side. If I ever build another may join the instrument panels with sheet plastic because the upper panel has far better alignment and attachment. Skipped installing the PE plotting board as already had enough fiddly fun.
