    Just getting caught up on this build. Fantastic result, Tom! I love your airbrush work and smooth finish. I can't afford the HK models kit right now but I have two of the old Tamiya version, plus one set of Belcher bits engines. I am tempted to put the HK on my birthday list to do instead of laboring over the Tamiya version. Thanks for for detailed build review. I got a lot of inspiration and guidance from your build either way.

    @coling - You'll find yourself very happy if you wait till Christmas and find one of these under the tree. I was just comparing this with my Tamiya Dambuster Lancaster, and there just really is no comparison. From 4 or 5 feet, they're both Lancasters, but the closer you get, the more difference there is.

    The secret of airbrushing is a pressure regulator set at 13-15 psi, and the paint thinned at least 40%. or at least that's the one of many "secrets of airbrushing" that works for me. That and acrylics.
