The seat belts look fantastic and I like the radiator looks. Hope you will sort out the emerging gap...

Cockpit really came out well, John (@johnb). I am sure you will get things sorted as the fuselage comes together.

So today I started on 'filling' the gap as mentioned earlier and as was indicated by Tom @tcinla.

I used a slightly different approach to close this gap. On both sides of the fuselage I applied a bit of plastic putty.

When the plastic putty was hardened I filed the sides till they lined up nicely enough.

This ofcourse was done in multiple steps and took a lot attempts of dry fitting.

After a first round of cleaning up, the 'gap' looks as shown on the next picture.

I think that after polishing it should look fine enough.

That cockpit is very nice, just the kit OOB, but the painting really does it. Very good work going on here @johnb

Finally the Typhoon is getting into shape.
Main wings and horizontal stabelizers are attached.
With the help of rubber bands the main wings fitted perfectly at the wingroots.

This also counts for the horizontal stabilizers although a bit of putty is required to to get it more smooth.

Looking good, @johnb - that's exactly what I did for the wings.

@fiveten, @tcinla, @gblair, thanks for your kind words. Paint time is indeed getting closer.

Before the big paint works, I started with painting the samller parts at first.
The propellor hub is painted in Duck Egg Green

Landing gear parts and bay doors (interior side) are painted in silver while the exhausts, after drilling holes to make it look a bit more realistic, were painted in a mixture of gun metal and rust.

The radiator outlet flap (not sure if this is the correct word) is attached and a minor gap has been filled.

Joining both sides of the wheels resulted in not such a smooth transition. This however was easily solved with sanding.
