Amazing result so far, my friend @yann!
A messy background is a productive background!

    Great paintwork, Yann @yann
The background is not messier than what my garage looks like 🙂

It is always fun when the paint starts going onto the model, Yann (@yann).

Thanks a lot @gblair @fiveten @johnb. This time I choose a better background for the second color of the camo.

    Great camo indeed, Yann @yann
You don't see camo patterns like this on the bottom side that often.
    Nice work.

Many thanks guys @fiveten, @gblair, @johnb. This pattern came up in 1981, before that the undersurfaces were painted in a light grey.

Hello folks, not much happened for few days on this WIP. I applied, not without difficulties, the 3rd camo colors (NATO green).

After applying the 'dark green' I removed the masking liquid and some flaw start appearing. I tried to touch them up with hand brush but the result was catastrophic. OK, nevermind, I will cover the other areas with liquid mask and painting mask and the trick will be done... NO, no, no, that was too easy...the liquid and paint mask left 2 different sheen on the protected part.

Only one solution, restart from zero.

The result is not excellent but acceptable...

Afterward I attacked the undercarriage part with 2 different metal paints. one for the piston and the other for the cylinder and the body of the gears.

The camo looks great, Yann (@yann). It's not often that I end up re-doing the whole thing, but sometimes that is simply the easiest thing to do. I know it's frustrating, but the results are worth it. Well done.

Restarting from zero is not what you want but sometimes it is the best approach, Yann @yann
Landing gear looks nice and is very well organized this way.

Hello guys, this week end (and last week) I focused on the Klir coating, descaling and matt varnish.

The decals from DACO were pretty nice except I got some silvering which I could not get rid off. This can be seen at certain angle on the port side double red stripes and on the ejection seat stenciling.

Regarding the coating, for the Clear one I used the Humbrol and for the matt varnish I used Mig Mat coat (3x) with a mix 1/1 of Mig acrylic thinner.

I tried to highlight the panel lines with Tamiya black panel line but it can be barely seen. I guess it is due to the double coating on the camo.

    Next step: the landing gears.
