Many thanks John @johnb. I appreciate your comment. Just forgot to mention that my lovely wife made me a surprise for my Birth Day. She booked a sensation flight in the cockpit of the real jet. I'm planning to take the kit there and to shoot some picture of them before going in the highlights.

@yann, wow that is an amazing gift you got from your wife. That will be an all time experience.
Will that be in a Mirage V as well?

I think the Mirage looks great, @Yann. I have always thought that the Belgian camo and markings make for a distinctive appearance. I always approach decals with a bit of fear, because they come at the very end of a build, and if something goes wrong there is usually very little you can do.

Many thanks George @gblair. I was like you for the decals, but now I found my of doing it. I just dip them in a temperate water for abt 10 to 15 sec then let them dry while I'm applying the softener on the kit. It's probably not the best way but I'm more relax doing it. Before I was soaking them for abt 1min, most of the time the decal was swimming around without the carrier and it was time to go fishing...

Oh yes John it will be the exact same aircraft, the BD09, @johnb. I cannot wait to experienced that. Unfortunately it's only in 4 weeks... I dont know exactely where you are located in Netherlands but it's not that far from the border: Sint Truiden

@yann, that will be four very exiting weeks Yann, with some sleepless night I guess.

Sint Truiden is indeed not that far from the border, from my hometown it is approximately a 2 hour drive.

How great that you can have a flight in the same aircraft as your building.

Like mentioned by Spiros @fiveten, please share the details after you experienced this flight.

Hey guys @johnb, @fiveten for sure I will share this experience. Altough I won't really flying (it's VR), just sitting inside the cockpit will be fantastic.

And now standing on his legs. It was pretty straight forward operation.

Just need time to decrypt the instruction and everything is assembling perfectly.

    .

I forgot to mention during my last post hos I was amazed with the DACO decals (except for silvering) but concerning the decal provided by the box that was another story (from a famous maker btw) they were simply not going off from the carrier, and once on the kit not sticking to it... Maybe that's only me but I never experienced that. My advice if you want to use them is to let them soak for abt 60 sec in temperate water, let them wait on a tissue while preparing the surface and only then slide them to the kit.

Thanks a lot @johnb, @gblair, @fiveten. Voilà it's done! Canopy is in open position, and fuel tanks attached to the wings.

Unfortunately the kit only offered the supersonic tank (500 ltr).

Now it's time to go to the BR type, the Recce type from the 42nd Squadron Mephisto.
