Alongside the Frankenstein Yak,I put this one on the bench,a much interesting and easier project...the kit arrived on Sept 16,and today it is like this:

Nice entry and already good progress, my friend @mvtb! Live the looks of the I-16. The Eduard kit looks to be very good. Looking forward to it!
Nice and quick start, Marcus @mvtb Seat and IP looks beautiful.
Interior coming along great, Marcus (@mvtb). You almost can't go wrong with an Eduard kit.
Thank you my friends, trying to figure out how to position the wing inside the fuselage with all those parts already installed.
These Eduard Polikarpovs have necessity of a blanking piece as to avoid light inside cockpit,so a plastic part was conformed and installed:

Nice problem solving, my friend @mvtb!
Thanks Spiros, more on the way,for the dry-fitting only succeeded after an inner nose spacer:

Yep, great problem solving, my friend @mvtb! Maybe the two fuselage halves were removed from the mold without been sufficiently cool, hence the deformation?
Solution seems very effective, Marcus @mvtb Fitting is very nice now.
Tks my friends.
Spiros, the contact surface is only the upper thin fuselage thickness, besides the possibility of some warping for the plastic is soft...
Some parts glued, and slowly it goes on...:
The disadvantage of the soft plastic that can easilly be deformed, may also be (kind of) an advantage, once in need to reform it, my friend @mvtb! You are doing a great job so far!
Tks Spiros,it is on putty now...soon I hope to install LG and paint it!
Progress is great, Marcus @mvtb Always a nice moment to get a plane on her feet.
Tks John, already on its feet, but laziness has set in now...
