    New project:
Tamiya's E-3 in a scheme not often modelled... all Tamiya acrylics so far and no extras at all. Managed to get to this point after just five short sessions starting last weekend. Next I'll leave it a day or two to fully cure before spraying a (glossy) clear coat.

Feel free to make any comments or ask any questions. Best from NZ.

    Ian.

Indeed a not that often seen scheme and a wonderful result so far, my friend @ij001!
    Looking forward to your progress!

    Romanian 109E Update:

Decals are LF (from Czech Rep.), never used them before, come on one backing sheet so need lots of careful cutting-out. Quite thick and don't respond well to solvent (Mr Softer). Biggest issue was the lack of 'depth' in the yellow - more like a primrose tone, so had to gently blend in a deeper yellow using W & N oils, neat from the tube.

    Looks a lot better now.

    Looks fantastic, my friend @ij001!
Splendid job on deepening the yellow at the decals, seems like this was their original yellow.

Splendid brush-job! The solution to make decals on one full backing sheet does indeed produce some challenges, and to my eye you have dealt with them very nicely indeed. Well done Ian!

Thanks folks... left it alone today to let the oils dry. Maybe tomorrow I'll spray a satin coat ready for some (light) streaking & dirtying-up.

    Best from NZ.

Well done, Ian (@ij001). The paint looks great. Never would have thought to use oils to fix the color on the decals. I like seeing the more obscure paint schemes.
