Looks great, @lis. Your problem with the pylon is invisible. Your painting on the nose is really nice. I am amazed you got your machine guns back! If that had happened to me, they would be gone forever. You must have very positive Karma...

@gblair Thank you! karma is positive only sometimes πŸ˜‰ Now the energy has equalized after damaging that unfortunate pylon. Tomorrow setting decals!

I think the model could have more parts behind the pilot's seat. The Kovozavods also had a rebate element that was stuck behind the pilot's seat in the part of the fuselage that was an extension of the cabin. This reduced the void between the seat and the back of the hull. You can take comfort in the fact that it will be slightly visible under the glazing. PS. I now have an extra set of weapons for the C-wing, after the brownings found their way into the fuselage πŸ™‚ for the next Spitfire.

@fiveten I'm glad that you like my model πŸ™‚

Setting decals takes mi all afternoon and evening. Finally I used DK-Decals, because Kit's roundels on upper surface looks a bit to large, and roundels on fuselage has yellow band in incorect shade.

Wow, @lis. The decals, along with the camo nose panel and metal finish, make this a really distinctive model. Your paint and decal work is perfect.

@fiveten @j-healy @johnb @gblair @airbum Thank you my friends! Yesterday I was already too tired for my job descriptions. So, in order to place the decals properly, you need to arm yourself with a lot of photos and materials. The model manual, when it comes to service inscriptions, the manual describes them much better than in the KP model, but it is a diagram for the Spitfire mark I or II! Techmod's instruction for the same painting can be helpful (that I didn't think of it before!). The "jack wheel" descriptions also appear on the IX version (I thought it applies to the version with a retractable rear wheel, but it turns out that probably not). Also technical marking "walkway forward" on right wing had wrong place on decal, because after setting roundels on upper surfaces this makings was hidden under this decals (In KP model RAAF roundels was small and this problem did not exist). The decals form kit was setting quite good, but I doubted when applying the markings to the top of the wings. I had the feeling that they were a bit too big, and besides, one was with some dirt. After a moment's thought, I used the newly purchased DK-Decals decal set for the spitfire version V, VI, IX, VII. The Czech product was of very good quality in terms of graphics, such as the yellow-orange border of the markings on the hull. The ones in the set seemed too bright. The last chord was putting on the badge of the 601 squadron. I had a real problem with how to direct it! On the box art they are depicted the wrong way, and in the diagram on the other side of the box you can see them, but only in one position of the hull. I had to use the techmod manual, but in the morning I doubted and looked at Eduard's manual with the same paint job. To my joy, the instructions of Techmod and Eduard coincided, so I can sleep peacefully πŸ™‚ for me to forget! The layout of the decals in the diagram on the other side of the box shows some space between the letter Q and the registration MJ250. Everything was much tighter on my model. Either the registration letters are slightly larger, or I had to move the national insignia backwards by a hair, although it seems that the position of the letters "UF" is perfectly correct for the fuselage roundel. What do you think about it? I attached Techmod manual.

Never thought that the Spitfire had that many stencils. Good stuff @lis!

@airbum Yes Erik, a lot of decals! And small as ant. As I said before AZ-Model gie set of technical decals dedicated for Spitfore mark I or II. So you need to correct length of black walkways. Also if I will make another AZ kit I will correct technical markings as "Walkway" because there was in incorrect place on decal line.

PS. How about your new stamps? πŸ™‚

Model is ready to weathering after 24h drying. I decided to repaint antenna mast. After some research I found it in Ocean Grey color (following as Eduard manual). I hope you like it.
