    I am wondering about the color of the antenna mast. First, however, you will need to paste it in before painting the plane completely. Thus, the color version other than silver will be difficult. Besides, the few photos of the silver spitfires do not indicate that it was in a color other than aluminum. Photo of very interesting Spitfire IXc (pilot Wg Cdr Marian Duryasz).

    I believe silver is a very safe choice for the mast, @lis!

    @fiveten I guess that's what I will do

    @fiveten The main problem with the antenna is that it needs to be glued with a strong gel CA glue, not ordinary plastic cement. So it's best to do this before painting the fuselage of the plane.

    Since you'll use cyano, It is not a bad idea to glue it before painting the fuselage, my friend @lis.
    However, keep in mind that the glued antenna will be quite sensitive...
    This is the reason why I glue all these thingies at later stages, even if I will have to use cyano...
    Decisions, decisions...!

    @fiveten You are right my friend! After time that I build Ki-43 I had a difficult experience with attaching an antenna to a finished model. It was difficult, so now I will try to paint carefully after gluing the antenna. The antenna, due to the fact that it is to have a radio cable, must be glued with strong glue. I will try painting carefully.

    Hi @lis. I also tend to glue the small bits, like antenna posts, after painting. I have found they break off at the slightest provocation, fall into the carpet, and are never seen again. I think there is a large pile of missing parts living in one corner of our hobby room, waiting to be discovered. I also think that our cat has a hidden mound of stolen treasures waiting to be discovered one day. In any case, when you decide to glue the mast, it will need to be a solid connection.

    @gblair I made primitive stand. Effective so far.

    It might be primitive, Lis @lis, but as you said, very effective.
    Small parts like antennas, mirrors etc, I also try to mount them at the end of the build.

    @gblair @johnb unfortunately the antenna is already glued. Now I need to be careful. After painting the entire airframe yesterday, today I am making paint corrections. as usual, there are places that I could not accept in any way (the area of the wing front - I am surprised that it did not make me suspect that it is not even enough near the undercoat). I sanded everything down, then put some primer on it to hold the paint well and then put on a light coat of Mr Hobby Super Metalic again. PS. Friends don't you think this paint is too shiny? Compared to the normal Vallejo Aluminum semi gloss (not what I put on the controls, but the one with Kate's B5N2).
