Here's how the Ho is progressing. I finally finished the engines and installed them. I made a few tweaks with the wiring and plumbing after I saw the photos. The frame was first painted with several lacquers, dull coats, hairspray, followed by a custom mix of Tamiya German Gray, White, Blue, and Neutral Gray. I waited a few minutes and scrubbed most of the Tamiya off. That was followed by lots of different oils and weathering products. The yellow wires are 0.010" lead that was spray painted with a mix of Mission Models Radome Tan and Yellow.

    George,
The engines remind me of some the Star Wars pod racers. Or the Ho-229 was the inspiration for Lucas. Hard to believe that this Jet was constructed of wood flying surfaces. Interesting subject and build. Looking forward to seeing your build progress.
