Well, her ladyship has decided that we should build a pair of biplanes, so here there are.

    Airfix 1/72 new tooling.

She has decided that she is doing the military version, while I build the civilian one.

We have made a start by getting the inners prepped and waiting for priming.

There is an option to have the doors open but went against this, easier to mask and paint.

So far no problems, apart from the carpet monster that struck at Rose again, this time a control column went into the void...

And sods law that the civilian version has a different rear fuselage/ tail area, so I have had to cut along the pre marked lines to remove the upper deck.

One thing we have found is how small they are compared to the Spitfire she just built.

Anyhow , enough of this s... , will post updates as and when.

These must be tiny in 1/72, so no probably in finding a space to display them!

Those new Airfix Tiger Moths are mad popular these days. Although not my scale, I am inspired to build the old 1/32 Matchbox version once I get my Hurricane done.

You might not want to sit too close together while building these. They very well could try one's patience.
    Have fun.

Hey Simes, how's it hanging pal ? ,I will watch this one with interest, the old moulding was considered one of the worst Airfix ever did , I remember getting one for christmas a few years ago off a friend and eventualy giving it away (unbuilt) to some kid at a club day, prob'ly put him of the hobby for life !
    Take care N.

Well if anyone is awake, here is a latest update.

Started the drilling for the rigging.
Her Ladyship Rose was hard at it, following what I had done.

Next up was the holes on the fuselage, and boy was that fun...
As you can see by mine, it took a few attempts.

    And one more of Rose`s.

So while I fill holes, she has cooked tea.

    update when ready.

    How to fill holes.
    First don`t drill them .
Second use hsp and Tamiya extra thin cement.

Well folks, it has been a while since we have posted anything.
Well this is because the great apathy monster raised its head and struck.
Anyhow we fought back today, and got something actually done.
    Holes drilled in upper wing.
    Lower wing attached to fuselage.

Then the tailplane was added, also the radiator fitted to upper wing.

Allow these to set over night then hopefully finish off the build til primer stage.

Simon and M'Lady Rose, good to see you two back at it. Looks like you are making excellent progress. While I realize your clothes pegs are "metric" they certainly bring home how tiny the Moth is.
Keep up the good work, I look forward to the next installment.
