Decals and stencils are placed. Some of the stencils are so small that the camera of my smartphone is not able to catch them clearly. Still need to use a bit of decal softener to make them follow the surface more nicely.

@fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros. A fun kit sofar, just some extra work required on the decals, they are slightly thick and don't follow the panel lines yet.

Your Wildcat looks great, John (@johnb). I always hate to add all of the small decals and stencils, but they really do make a difference.

@gblair, thank you, George. I have to admit that I was happy once the last stencil was on. On to the weathering.

@j-healy, thank you, John. Still some challenges to deal with, the exhaust stains for example.

@chinesegeorge, thanks a lot, George. Those tiny ones were nerve-racking.

And this is how the exhaust stains look on the Wildcat. Less visible due to the gloss sea blue.
In real they are better visible than what the camera captures.

Always a conundrum, do you paint a model for your eye or do you paint for the digital camera and the computer? The eyes have it. If you go to YouTube they have several programs done by special effects artists who comment that the color palate for painting miniatures or props would look odd if seen by the naked eye. But, are suitable for the camera. I've seen some of our local TV reporters, reporting on the scene reporting and the amount of makeup on their faces is outrageous.

    The stains work.
