    Nice progress, my friend @mvtb!
Well, call me weird, I love this vivid blue!
    Looking forward to your camo!

I think the blue looks great, Marcus (@mvtb). I think it is interesting watching how the camo colors change during the war. This blue will look great with the colors that follow.

    Great paintwork, Marcus @mvtb
To me this is also a weird looking color, was even in doubt when I sprayed this on my Petlyakov Pe2 if I used the correct color.

Thanks Spiros,George and John, this is the color,no way around for me,so it will stay...argh... 🙂

Using a Panzer IV rear wheel support I tried to create a similar gunsight support - the kit one was awful - and used a Brit-adapted sight (thanks spares!) as to emulated something like the original, and got the rear armored glass altogether:

The tailwheel broke during the handling for all this and no more gluing worked,so let´s use the good old metal axle again:

We all owe you a vote of thanks @mvtb for doing this dogmeat kit. Zvezda has just announced a 1/48 Yak-9 family for release next year. They wouldn't have done it without you. 🙂

No matter how much this kit fights you, you fight back, my friend @mvtb!
    Looking good!

Despite the struggling your Yak is coming together nicely, Marcus @mvtb

Thanks John and Spiros for your ever present support.

Always good having you (and Tom,too) around.

The beast is trying to lead me away from a final step. The painting has to be corrected here and there and notwithstanding that, news emerged about the painting scheme.

I just redone the primer all over uppers,as to mimick the AMT-11,and soon will paint the 1943 standard camo scheme with the AMT-12...then,and only then,I will be able to 'winterize' it,for all the markings should be applied on summer camo first, and after that we do the marks contouring winter MK-7 distemper.

Gee,tha´s gonna be an interesting 'finale''...oh my...damn Russians...

George, here it is,not a good job, usual for this project, but I can at last apply decals and then the white - pictures without and then with Future:

Looking great from here, my friend @mvtb! Love the splinter, have never seen it before at a Soviet camo! Brilliant!
