Excellent choice for a Cat build. Thanks for starting a new build thread Allan.
I've docked the cats tail and glued its outer wing panels together plus a bit of filling and gluing of internal parts.

This is a brilliant choice! Can't wait to see it take shape!
Nice choice Allan - will sit very well alongside your Dornier 24!
Thanks Paul. Thanks David, and my other three cats !
Excellent choice of subject, for 2 reasons: 1) You can debate with people till they're blue in the face that its a Consolidated PBY (It's Not). 2) When you tell them it's a PB2B-2 they'll say something like, "Did you just say doobie doobie doo?" Sorry. Its just how my mind works...

Thanks David, even though it's built by Boeing's subsidiary in Canada it's still a Consolidated Catalina, scoobie doobie doo, which cartoon character said that ?
David, you could tell them you're quoting Shakespeare- 2 B or not 2 B. If you can't beat 'em, confuse 'em. Allan, Frank Sinatra. Strangers in the night. Badabum!
A bit of progress with my black cat ! I've raised the seats and corrected the control column, with a bit of interior paint and assembly, oh and filled some sink holes and re-drilled the rivets !

I do like a Consolidated cat. Nice progress so far and it makes me want to see more.
A bit more progress, wing in one piece, cockpit ready to go in, nose turret in MM 1734, instrument panel in, windows in with Future.

Waist guns, cockpit and black painted nose turret in place, fuselage joined together, blisters taped on for protection.
Allan this is looking great - just enjoying watching all of your builds as they take shape - the painting is so clean!
Lovely start to a great model of an outstanding plane!
Love the humour that has come out, too. Doobie doobie doo 2B or not 2B badaboom!
